Twang

Twang is a country duo from Tamworth, NSW, delivering that classic 90’s-style honky tonk music made for the dance floor.

The band features Rusty Crook (guitar), a seasoned musician who has played with some of the biggest names in Australian country, including The Sunny Cowgirls, Adam Brand, Adam Harvey, and Catherine Britt. After spending years in Nashville performing in their honky tonks and dive bars, Rusty has returned home bringing his Nashville honed style and flare to Twang.

Kyle Cartner (vocals), originally from Cobar, has built his career gigging across Australia, performing alongside artists such as Beccy Cole, Travis Collins, and The Wolfe Brothers. Known for his powerful voice and ability to light up any stage, Kyle has earned a loyal following of fans who love a good old country song.

Formed in July 2025, Twang made their debut at the Hats Off to Country Festival and have since been playing to enthusiastic crowds, always bringing the spirit of 90’s country to every show. With their mix of honky tonk energy, heartfelt storytelling, and undeniable chemistry, Kyle and Rusty are keeping the neon-lit tradition of country music alive for a new generation.
